Product Description
Pathos Logos MkII Integrated Amplifier (with optional DAC) is even closer to the spirit exhibited in the original Pathos Logos, which is always centre of the search for new solutions and upgrading of units. Includes option of Black or Wood (Padouk) front panel with optional HiDACMk2.
Hybrid Amplifier
Logos is a hybrid amplifier of 110 to 220W per channel (8/4 ohms) with ECC88 preamp valves, end-stage class A/B Mosfet strongly polarised and fully balanced signal.
Volume control uses purely resistive analogue circuitry with digital control and input/output impedance constant. There is also lamellar transformer resin encapsulated to zero dispersions along with adjustable brightness display. All functions can be remote controlled.
Enhancements
It is with this approach that Pathos presents its evolutionary MKII more than ten years after the introduction of the Logos integrated amplifier. Pathos is known to only introduce updated versions of its models with the presence of substantial and meaningful new ideas.
Despite sharing the same original stunning design, the MKII distinguishes itself in its offering of numerous new solutions that further enhance the amplifier sound and meet the demand for versatility and practicality in a high-end device.
New Solutions
The first kind of solution adopted in the new Logos is an increased voltage of valve anodic polarisation optimising the working point, obtaining greater linearity and a general sound improvement, in particular increased consistency and definition. A stabilised power supply for preamp valve and more accurate association of electrolytic capacitors throughout the signal path allow a valuable reserve of "quick energy" while listening for better dynamics, detail and sense of rhythm.
Comfortable Listening
There are numerous innovations to enhance practicality, which assist in the use of the amplifier. Volume levels can be stored for each input, the gain differentiation between digital and analogue inputs ensures homogeneity of the level between the different sources used while standby function from the remote abides to energy consumption limits imposed by the latest EEC regulations.
Digital Music
The ability to integrate a high-quality DAC 24bit-192Khz into the device enriches the set of connections with the addition of 2 SPIDF digital inputs and 1 USB input. This creates an important versatility in managing digital sources and makes the Logos MkII stand out as an ideal amplifier for digital Music.
Malfunctions
A new protection has also been implemented against short circuits and overloads by a “Hall” effect sensor that allows the device to protect itself against shorts caused by speakers and by internal malfunctions preserving the speakers without diminishing the quality of the musical signal.
