This amplifier really sparkles and sounds far more powerful than 85 watts. I have mine driving a pair of ProAc Studio 115 speakers and the pairing is wonderfully dramatic and makes music sound really special without adding anything or taking anything away. Difficult to describe but I found myself hearing new things in music I've listened to for years and for the pleasure that brings this amplifier is priceless.
