Product Description
Sennheiser IE 900 Earphones are designed to offer the best audiophile grade sound quality with comfort and durability. Every aspect of the IE900s has been specially developed to produce superb, natural high-end sound performances that reveal the finest details in music. Experience the peak of German audio engineering and Sennheiser’s innovative technology.
Why Sennheiser IE 900?
The Sennheiser IE 900s are Sennheiser’s latest flagship audiophile earphones that showcase the very best in audio technology. For the IE 900s, Sennheiser has introduced new innovative techniques and improved previous designs to provide a set of earphones that delivers a listening experience without compromise.
The IE 900s feature Sennheiser’s proprietary 7mm X3R transducer, a unique triple-chamber absorber system and their ultra thin XWB driver design. Combined together, these innovations deliver a superb level of balance and transparency, allowing you to hear the true potential of any recording.
Acoustic Back Volume
For the Sennheiser IE 900 earphones to achieve a transparent sound with accuracy across the frequency range, Sennheiser have developed a unique triple-chamber absorber system called Acoustic Back Volume, which controls the direction and overall volume of air as it moves through the transducer system.
With this, unpleasant resonances and peaks are removed and the overall performance is improved, with a sound that is clear and natural, where even the subtlest nuances of sound are audible.
Music Bought to Life
The IE 900 in-ear headphones use Sennheiser’s XWB driver, which is designed to produce an exceptionally natural reproduction so you can hear exactly how the music is supposed to be heard, with all the little musical nuances coming to life.
XR3 Transducer
Sennheiser have used a high quality single driver design to overcome the inherent issues that multi driver systems cause, and have succeeded with this by designing a sophisticated system of three Helmholtz resonators, called the X3R transducer. This unique and advanced driver design helps eliminate resonance peaks, so the sound isn’t ‘coloured’, and results in a smoother peaks and a higher fidelity sound.
Excellent Connection
The IE900 earphones use high performance Gold Plated Fidelity+ MMCX connectors to offer the best possible contact and durability. These connectors have been specially developed to provide strain relief, to withstand thousands of bend cycles, and to achieve the cleanest and most natural sounding audio transmission.
They also come with three plug types so you can connect to nearly every digital audio source; an unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo plug, which is suitable for headphone amps, laptops, and audio interfaces, and a symmetrical 2.5 mm and a 4.4 mm cable for connecting straight into hi-fi components with balanced outputs.
Comfort in Sound
Earphones have never felt so comfortable with the IE900’s; Sennheiser have implemented ergonomic features so that comfort and security is paramount. To get the perfect fit, you can alter the adjustable ear hooks to suit your ear size and use the included silicone and memory foam ear adaptors, which come in three different sizes, to achieve a snug fit.
Made in Germany
The IE900 earphones are designed, engineered, and manufactured at Sennhesier’s manufacturing facility in Germany, which ensures that all the products meet the high quality standards Sennheiser have become known for.
The earphones are housed in a precision cut high performance aluminium alloy, which provides an aesthetically pleasing design that is long-lasting and durable, particularly when listening in the rain as they are highly resistant to wear and corrosion.
