Product Description
Sumiko Wellfleet moving magnet MM phono cartridge is part of the Oyster range, and is designed to give vocals warmth and detail while not losing subtleties of performance.
Tight and well controlled bass makes backing vocals easier to perceive. Different Instruments can be identified such as the rattle of a snare or the woody twang of acoustic guitars. The fine stylus reduces surface noise and gives a deeply suspended image.
Cross compatible Changeable Styli
The low mass nude elliptical stylus, of the mid-range Sumiko Wellfleet MM phono cartridge gives great detail and an accurate soundstage for your music. With The Wellfleet the stylus is interchangeable. Five stylus variations are available, that are interchangeable across the range. There is also an RS78 stylus, available to play 78's. The Wellfleet is the second from the top of the Oyster series.
New innovation in cartridge design
With the Wellfleet MM cartridge Resonance is reduced. Resonance occurs around the sound generator of a cartridge reducing the honesty of the sound. The housing dissipates resonant frequencies, caused by the cantilever, leading to transparent sonics that lose non of the nuances of the music.
