Product Description
Supra Excalibur USB 2.0 A-B Cable is optimised to handle 24-bit HD Audio and its 90 Ohm characteristics impedance results in low attenuation.
Optimised Data Pairs
Both the data pair and power pair are optimised for their own purpose. The data pair is twisted and made from PE insulated silver-plated oxygen free copper wires. Silver is fantastic for transmitting high frequencies and high-speed data and at 3.8% of the total wire, the silver layer is very thick, which allows for the best conductivity and high velocity factor.
Power Conductors
The power conductors have been constructed so they are completely different from the data pair to avoid power losses. This maximises the conductor area in the 4 tin-plated OFC wires that are in a star-quad configuration, this design and the separate screen also greatly reduce any RFI.
USB Plugs
The USB plugs are siblings of Supras popular HDMI plus which are fully shielded in Aluminium. To reduce the need for on-site cut-offs and re-soldering the Excalibur has been designed with detachable plugs to make it possible to route the cable within 16-millimeter conduits.
Features:
- High Performance, High Speed - Uses a flexible cable with dual screens for the best RF pick-up protection.
- One twisted pair for data (24-bit) and two star-quad pairs for power, with individual screens for minimal cross-channel interference.
- Low capacitance and efficient noise rejection maintain signal integrity in long run interconnects.
- PE-insulated wires with correct 90 Ohms impedance design.
- 24K gold plated and shielded connectors.
