Systems - Denon
Our main focus as a specialist hi-fi retailer is to offer the best deals and advice on hi-fi separates (e.g. an integrated amplifier with a hi-fi streamer, turntable or CD player) and match these to suitable hi-fi speakers (bookshelf or floorstanding models). However, if you want to keep things simple with a one box music system, radio or pre-packaged music system, you should find something something simplier here.
Denon is a leading audio brand founded over 110 years ago, focused on the design and manufacturer of high performance budget and high end models. Their current range includes hi-fi separates, home cinema amps, mini systems and headphones.
Denon is a Japanese electronics company, originally established as Nippon Chikuonki Shoukai in 1910 - and since then, Denon has potentially made more home audio related innovations than any other hi-fi brand.
Denon as its named now was established as a merger between Denki Onkyo (distinct from the other Onkyo brand) and others in 1939. In 2002 Denon merged with Marantz to form D&M Holdings, which was later acquired by Sound United, themselves now acquired Masimo.
Like Marantz, many of Denon's amplifiers - both budget and high end models, were released with a matching purist CD or SACD player. Many amplifier also include support for music streaming and vinyl with several models including good quality built in phono stages.
In 2014 Denon introduced the HEOS wireless speakers and sound systems. Many of Denon's home cinema receivers offer more channels of amplification than other options at a similar price point or below.
Their current range includes a wide range of hi-fi and home cinema products, and many of these have received awards and excellent reviews.
