    Product Description

Warwick Acoustics Aperio reference headphones system delivers the finest level of audio reproduction acheivable using patented planar elecrostatic technology. A refined, evolutionary upgrade of technology is employed that was originally developed for the ground-breaking and multi-award-winning Sonoma Model One.

    BD-HPEL Transducer

The transducer forms the most crucial component of any headphone system with its fidelity and acoustic reproduction determining the ultimate performance of the entire sound system. Aperio employs a new BD-HPEL Transducer– a Balanced-Drive variation of the HPEL (High Precision Electrostatic Laminate) transducer first built for the Sonoma Model One headphone system.

    Injected Magnesium Earcups

Key structural parts of the headphone, i.e ear cups, are constructed of injected Magnesium chosen for its rigidity while being lighter and noteably better-damped than aluminium and most polymers. Due to this, advanced and precise parts that conventionally need CNC-machining are possible.

    Ear Cushions

For extraordinarily low frequency performance, Aperio needs a minute sealed air volume between transducer and the user’s ear. Aperio preserves air volume and mandatory air seal using key design aspects that remove air leakage even with variations in head and ear shape.

    Headphone Comfort

Aperio delivers comfort by reducing weight and improving geometry. The complex materials used in the design like Magnesium and Engineering polymers result in an ultra-low 405g mass.

    Cutting-edge components

Aperio is a full audio reproduction system so the electronics are enhanced specially for Aperio headphone. Every element between the audio signal input (analogue or digital source) and output to the headphone is incorporated and wholly optimised within Aperio electronics. Each functional sub-section is designed to cutting-edge standards with no compromise.

    Analogue Line Output

The Line Output section hosts a new Class A circuit that can output ultra-high voltages with extraordinary current, so it can effortlessly drive outboard electronics even with very long cables whether in a professional or consumer application.

    Dual 32-bit, 8-channel DAC's

The DAC section of Aperio is truly cutting-edge. Dual 32-bit, 8-channel DACs are employed – one per channel in dual mono configuration to attain a SNR of 131dB.

    Input Cables

Warwick Acoustics provides custom-designed high performance input cables developed in house to match the performance and quality standards of the remainder of the Aperio system.
