Product Description
Yamaha A-S2200 integrated amplifier is part of the latest trio of amplifiers from Yamaha. Designed to embody the emotion, feeling and groove and rhythm of every musical piece, the fully balanced A-S2200 delivers 160 watts per channel.
Capturing the Emotion
At the core of Yamaha’s hi-fi is the desire to capture the real emotion and character in music as the artist intended. To faithfully reproduce music, the A-S2200 amp uses high-quality components such as a low loss toroidal transformer with minimal flux leakage and copper wire drawn from the winded core. This design allows the amp to the full energy and dynamics of the music to be conveyed.
PC-Triple C Wires
Instead of supper thick copper wires, the A-S2200 employs PC-Triple C speaker wire which are naturally more linear and allow a much clearer signal path so that music is presented as accurately as possible. This integrity in the audio signal along with the low impedance, low loss design preserves the faithfulness of the original recording and allows for a realistic and open soundstage to be achieved.
Mechanical Ground Concept
Featured throughout the range is the Mechanical Ground Concept which from the ground up ensures an expressive sonic performance is delivered. From the bass feet, to the main chassis, large power supply and block capacitors, all components are reinforced for the maximum rigidity and minimum vibration.
Design Features
This model also features a dedicated phono amp compatible with both MM and MC cartridges and equaliser amp for expressive vinyl playback. Alongside this, the amps aesthetic design which is beautifully engineered with elegant knobs and switches and a softly lit LED display on the front panel. It even features luxurious pure brass speaker terminals for the securest fit.
