These top-of-the-range Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers set new standards in performance. Three years of development went into producing this new floor-standing loudspeaker design. The design has all new drive units along with carefully selected crossover components.

The tweeter is a 29mm soft dome type and the two bass drivers are 140mm in diameter. finally, the midrange unit is 120mm in diameter and the overall power handling is 200 Watts.
New soft dome, tweeter material
The tweeters in the Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers are made of an improved material that is lighter than carbon fibre and is designed to lower colouration. Moreover, there is an increase in delicate high-speed transients. As a result fine details are revealed in the sound.
Second generation carbon fibre bass and mid range units
The Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers feature a brand-new drive unit design. This has been specially developed using an ultra-rigid version of the carbon fibre cone used in the 500 series. Additionally, the cone is driven by a long throw voice coil that sits in a low hysteresis motor structure.
Notably, this provides the best efficiency and best possible performance. The alignment of the two 140mm drivers delivers powerful and controlled low frequencies.
Natural sounding midrange unit
The midrange unit in the Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers uses the new carbon fibre cone and surround to provide a specific tonal quality. This is optimized for the important mid-range vocal spectrum. Consequently, it gives the most natural sound.
Patented crossover design
The new crossover in the Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers is optimized for this three-way design. Only the highest quality components are used. Moreover, the wiring features a patented new arrangement of conductors. These are designed to enhance the musical detail and dynamic expression.
The crossover is used to split the audio spectrum into three bands. The Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers have a lower crossover at 260 Hz and a higher crossover at 3400 Hz. The components used form a filter. The filter is made of inductors and capacitors that need to be temperature stable and have a long life.
Beautiful Curvaceous cabinet design
The ground-breaking drivers and crossover of the Acoustic Energy Corinium Speakers are mounted inside an exquisite cabinet. This is an inert enclosure that uses The hybrid ‘Resonance Suppression Composite’ (RSC) system. This uses thick 45mm wood along with a rigid aluminium front baffle.
As a result optimal resonance performance is achieved. Additionally, the cabinet has a 4-degree tilt that helps with the timing of the drive units.

Acoustic energy are a UK company based in Cirencester. This was once a Roman town known as Corinium, hence the name of the new flagship Corinium speaker. Acoustic energy was founded in 1987 and they are a high-end speaker manufacturer of renown.
