Product Description
Audio Pro Link 2 is a multiroom adaptor that will allow you to connect any of your audio devices to the Audio pro Multiroom system and follows on from the original Link 1. The Link 2 can connect to active speakers and source from radios, turntables, hi-fi systems or AV receivers. Control is simple by using the Audio pro App. The 36cm long cabinet is dark grey. Wit the the Link 2 you can revive your old audio equipment and modernize it to work with multi-room systems.
What is a multi-room system?
A multi room system gives maximum versatility, with a speaker in every room you can share speakers with multiple people as well as group and play to multiple speakers. You can even use speakers in a left / right combination for stereo or send the same source to all the speakers. Audio Pro make a wide range of multi-room speakers that can be used with the Link 2.
Wireless or Wired?
The Link 2 will connect wirelessly via Airplay, Google cast and Spotify Connect. Bluetooth is also available as well as Wi-Fi. There is an ethernet port for direct connection to a network. Additionally, there are analogue inputs and outputs via RCA sockets. Finally digital inputs include, Optical, coaxial or TOSlink as well as USB . A USB input is useful if you have music stored on a hard drive or USB stick. Audio formats supported include MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and Apple Lossless.
Revive your old turntable
Turntables have become increasingly popular and the Link 2 allows you to connect a turntable to the Audio Pro multiroom system. You may need a phono pre-amp. Use old equipment with your new speakers rather than adding to the plie of discarded but usable audio gear.
Audio Pro Multiroom Speakers
The Link 2 multi-room player will act as a bridge to the large range of Audio pro multi-room speakers that are available. From the entry level A10 to the high-end A28, A38 and A48 there is sure to be a good match for your home.
Matching Wireless Speakers
As an example we will look at the Audio Pro A10 multiroom speaker. This is an entry level cylindrical multi-room speaker with a small footprint. The fabric covered design is only 20cm high but produces a big sound due to innovative technologies from Audio Pro. As with most Audio Pro speakers there are convenient controls on the top, for on/off, volume, Bluetooth pairing and four pre-set sources. The back features a threaded insert for wall mounting.
