Product Description
Chord Signature AES/EBU Digital Cable makes available components that allow the use of RCA to XLR cables to carry a digital signal, this is particularly popular with Devialet owners.
Decades of Experience
The late nineties introduced the first appearance of a pro audio digital connection called AES/EBU on domestic equipment via an XLR socket alongside standard coaxial and Toslink. Chord used this to their advantage using pro-audio correct (110 Ohm) impedance cable to build a 1-metre cable using Neutrik XLRs.
Highly Refined
As more products continued to appear with AES/EBU connections, Chord’s use of separate high frequency effective shielded conductors and Tuned/Super ARAY conductor configurations implored to revisit AES/EBU connections.
The AES/EBU format has been refined since and the revisions bring it into play as a connection that if available on your equipment is worth listen to. The Signature Super ARAY AES/EBU cable is a very good place to start.
Available Options
It is recommended to also try the S/PDIF Signature Super ARAY Digital and decide for yourself which one is better. The standard length of the Signature Super ARAY AES/EBU cable is 1 metre.
Longer lengths are available to order and considering the quality of the conductors that we use the Signature Super ARAY AES/EBU and also the Signature Super ARAY S/PDIF cable can both be used over very long runs with no signal loss.
