Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector

The Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector will transform your home cinema experience. This compact projector can create a bright and vibrant image that ranges from 80” in size to a large 120” image.

Notably X-Fusion laser technology uses a precise laser light source to deliver sharp images along with up to 4K resolution. Also, the image is bright enough for Dolby Vision. The image is vibrant with incredible depth and good detail. This unit also has built-in Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound. Two HDMI and two USB connectors are provided.

X-fusion laser technology

The X-fusion laser source used by the Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector gives a sharper image and a longer life than previous technologies. The life of the laser is 25,000 hours and the colours will always be natural. Additionally, the projector is a short-throw unit and can be as close as 42cm to the screen.

This makes it easy to use in smaller rooms and increases the brightness of the image. The maximum image size is 120” however putting the unit closer to the wall will give an 80” or 100” image. Lastly, the brightness is 2100 ANSI lumens.

What are ANSI Lumens?

The brightness of a light source is measured in lumens. The standard is regulated by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Hence video Projectors are rated in ANSI lumens. Moreover, there are three types of lamps used in projectors, Lamp, LED, and laser.

Laser sources as used by the Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector, are superior, as they provide a brighter more colour-dense image. Additionally, Dolby Vision dynamically optimizes the HDR.

High Dynamic range and 4K

The Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector is also HDR and 4K Capable. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and refers to the image brightness and contrast ratio. HDR content is available from streaming services as well as disk. It increases the contrast ratio and colour depth for a brighter more colour-dense image.

4k refers to the resolution of the picture and is four times 1080p, or standard HD. There are eight million pixels. 4K content is available from streaming services there are also 4K UHD Blu-rays available.

Gaming mode

Gaming mode, with the Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector, provides Auto Low Latency Mode(ALLM) which automatically activates when a gaming console is plugged in. As a result, gameplay is smoother and faster with no stuttering or dropped frames.

Lastly, the built-in voice command system, with the provided remote control allows you to command the projector's functionality by voice command only.

What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is a 3D surround sound system originally used in cinemas. The Hisense PL1 UST Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector has the necessary built-in speakers to simulate Dolby Atmos. At the mixing desk, sound objects can be placed in 3D space.

Dolby Atmos can have up to eleven channels. These include ceiling and side channels that provide an immersive experience. In projectors, clever technologies are used to point speakers upwards to simulate the ceiling speakers.
