Product Description
Jamo S7–25F floorstanding speakers sit close to the top of the S7 series. This 2 way design is made in Denmark and is ideal for music, movies, gaming and more giving room filling sound.
High quality components paired with many hours of experience make these Jamo speakers very well designed. The cabinets are tilted to reduce timing errors and the crossover is mounted in the plinth to reduce interference.
All new 1” Tweeters
The 1” tweeters feature a copper Faraday ring that reduces distortion and increases sensitivity. A Faraday ring absorbs magnetic fields. In a speaker the ring interacts with the voice coil, to reduce the inductance and the distortion of the tweeter. The tweeter itself and its surround are made of fabric for good distortion characteristics and a detailed sound.
Dynamic Bass
Low frequencies are handled by two 5.5” woofers with paper cones. Aluminium inductance shorting rings are used to boost power handling and reduce distortion. These act as a heat sink allowing more power to be delivered along with less distortion. Bass is clean and dynamic from the embossed paper cone with “Thors Hammer” detailing.
7-degree Tilted Cabinets
To reduce timing errors the cabinet is tilted back at 7 degrees. This is designed to give a more coherent soundstage by delaying the arrival of high frequencies slightly at the listening position. The S7-25F's are mounted on a plinth that houses the speaker's crossover. Another feature of the S7-25F is the rounded cabinet edge. This rounded corner dissipates reflected energy from the drive units removing any low level signals that can cause distortion.
Rigid Cabinet Bracing
The Jamo S7–25F floor standing loudspeakers feature a “quiet cabinet”, that is, they have a thick 15mm MDF shell and an 18mm front baffle. The box is then heavily braced to give a low level of self noise or resonance. Consequently you will hear more low level detail compared to other manufactures products.
Sealed Crossovers
The high quality crossovers are mounted in the plinth to minimise any interaction between the bass units magnets and the inductors in the crossover. The topology of the hi-grade components has been carefully considered. Mylar and non-polarised electrolytic capacitors are paired with 25W resistors to give an optimised frequency transition between the drivers. As a result transparency and accuracy are a feature of the 25F.
Nordic Inspired Cabinet Colours
The cabinet colours are inspired by the natural Scandinavian landscape of blues and greys. Dark blue echoes the blue of the Norwegian Fjords while grey cloud is inspired by the fog hanging over a Finish forest. Blue gives and emotional touch while grey will should with any décor.
About Jamo
Jamo was founded in 1968, in Denmark, by Preben Jacobsen who is a cabinet maker. He paired up with Julius Mortenson an experienced salesman. “Jamo” comes from the first two letters of their surname. In 1994 the company became the leading manufacturer of loudspeakers in Europe and in 2008 the Jamo R909 was named as the best hi-end speaker of the year in Europe.
