Product Description
Mission’s LX-C2 MKII is a centre speaker built for home cinema systems, specifically the LX MK2 cinema system. It’s the biggest of the two centre speakers in the LX MK2 range; it has a bigger cabinet, two 5” bass drivers, rather than 4” and is paired with a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter. The LXC2 Mk2 delivers a full range sound with depth, power and is perfect for full, in-your-face audio.
LX MK 2 Range
The LX Mk2 range has been completely revised with new technology to replace the original series and has been extended to 9 models from 6. Every speaker within the LX MKII Series has been carefully re-designed to deliver maximum sonic expression.
To do this, Mission has applied technology that is used in the high-end ZX and QZ ranges, such the advanced serration design and new driver build. The LX series is now better than ever and is a great choice if you want a quality entry-level speaker at a budget price.
LXC2 Enhancements
The LX Mk2 range’s main enhancement is the advanced new driver surrounds and crossover technology, which is also used in Mission’s successful QX and ZX ranges. This is used to help scatter interfering/unwanted reflections from localised surfaces to the dome and cone, ultimately to provide a smoother frequency response.
LXC2 drivers
The LXC2 Mk2 has two 5” woofer units, rather than 4”woofers in the LXC1 Mk2; they help sound disperse much better and provides a more powerful low end. The LXC2 Mk2 allows you to place your front speakers further apart without the problem of having a ‘sound hole’ in the centre.
The woofers are made of composite fibre, they are quick to respond and provide great power, meaning you’ll hear every breath of dialogue. The woofers are combined with a lightweight 25mm microfibre dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet aimed to extend the crisp, detailed response to higher levels. These two driver designs are standard across the LX MK2 range.
Practical & Stylish
Mission’s LXC2-MKII speaker has an infinite baffle design, meaning that it can easily be housed in a cabinet or against a wall without adversely affecting the sound quality. It comes in three finishes; these are Walnut Pearl, Lux Black and Lux White - Great for most home decors.
