4" C-CAM bass driver
Radius features 4" C-CAM bass drivers with concave cone profiles, introduced by flagship Platinum speakers and subsequently employed in Gold GX. Extensive research and FEA modelling have allowed refining of the partnership between the emitting diaphragm and its motor design introducing bigger motor sizes and voice coils for greater excursion, higher power capacity and lowered distortion.
C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter
The bass driver is paired with a 1" C-CAM tweeter optimised to produce the finest and broadest performance within the compact cabinets. It profits from a better efficiency rear-venting design, releasing trapped and compressed air behind the tweeter dome and routing it around the drive structure to a rear-loading chamber.
HiVe II port design
Derived from the successful design of Platinum, the HiVe reflex port makes its Radius debut. It’s structured to produce the same effect on airflow as a gun-barrel on a bullet. Rifled grooves within the port accelerate the flow and prevent turbulence so air moves more efficiently in and out of the port for a more rapid and dynamic bass response.
Installation Options
Single through-bolt driver installation offers mechanical de-coupling and augmented mid-band clarity and resolution. The through-bolts also function as rigid cross bracing to deliver a very robust non-resonant cabinet.
Mounting is possible via single point ¼” x 20TPI wall fixing, the optional Monitor Audio speaker mount or any standard wall bracket or the optional floorstand with internal cable management system.
