Phono Stage Components
LX2-LPS boasts all the elements required of a phono stage; accurate RIAA, low noise and distortion plus overload margin. Musical Fidelity's RIAA correction technology is renowned for its predictable and reliable precision.
The accuracy is ±0.25dB at a frequency spanning 20 hertz to 20 kilo hertz, this extends to 45kHz to prevent overshoot ringing and create absolutely crisp highs free from intermodulation or other anomalies.
Signal to Noise Ratio
Both the MM and MC stage feature a remarkable noise ratio of greater than 82dB and 72dB respectively. This translates to virtually inaudible noise at any volume setting.
Distortion is vanishingly low at under 0.007% across the audio spectrum. The exemplary overload margin makes it almost impossible for any cartridge currently available to overload it.
