Product Description
Ortofon’s 2M Black LVB 250 MM Phono Cartridge is an enhanced version of the original 2M Black MM cartridges. It adds a Nude Shibata diamond stylus mounted on a Boron Cantilever as well as improved damping materials and process' to improve performance and further enhance the cartridge’s capabilities and technical excellence. The 2M Black LVB 250’s is a celebration of what would have been Beethoven's 250th birthday.
Improved Stylus
The 2M Black LVB 250 uses a Nude Shibata diamond on a Boron cantilever, this set-up is used in Ortofon’s MC Cadenza Black cartridge, which is very popular any highly acclaimed. The Nude Shibata stylus has a slim and very polished profile that allows for an exceedingly wide contact area with record grooves, which ensures a precise and detailed audio reproduction. This is connected to an extremely stiff and lightweight Boron cantilever, which adds remarkable transparency, speed and responsiveness to the sound.
Rubber Compound Formula
A new rubber compound for the suspension system has been developed to ensure optimal interaction between compliance and damping. The rubber compound formula is based on the Multi Wall Carbon Nano Tubes highly efficient nano filler. The new nano filler compound offers desirable mechanical properties, which delivers better damping and an improved performance of the cartridge.
Energy Saving Materials
This rubber compound allows for a more environmental-friendly production. The rubber compounds formula is applied in a rubber polymer matrix and not in a powdered form, which makes the production process more clean, non-polluting and energy saving.
Compatibility
The 2M Black LVB 250 cartridge has a weight of 7.2 g and compliance suited to most modern tonearms to allow it to be easily compatible with an endless array of modern High-End equipment.
