Product Description
Sota Moonbeam IV Turntable allows you to hear all the original details and musicality of your favourite records, exactly how they were originally mastered. It is Sota's entry level turntable which features a unique high-density polymer platter that provides an outstanding performance with superb fidelity.
High-Density Polymer Platter
The precision-machined platter on the Moonbeam IV turntable is crafted using special high-density polymer, which is exceptionally effective in dissipating the resonant energy created by the process of record planning. This is a cost effective solution compared to damped aluminum platters.
Performance Enhancing Polymers
Sota have created the Moonbeam IV with state of the art components essential for the success of the turntable. Polymer material Turcite has been used in this turntable for the bearing cup, enforced with Teflon it allows the bearing function to achieve ultra-precision. The bearing has an almost unlimited life and is noticeably quieter than some of the more expensive bearing assemblies.
Excellent Isolation
The Moonbeam IV provides excellent isolation from vibrations, resonance's, airborne waves and footfalls that can disrupt the performance of your records. It achieves this by solidly layering the internally damped chassis effectively isolating the turntable system. The feet have energy-absorbing properties for further vibration damping.
