Product Description
Wharfedale Linton speakers are among the most iconic models in Wharfedale’s long history of loudspeakers, available in mahogany, walnut or black oak.
Like the Denton 85, the Linton model follows in the trend for updated versions of classic designs. Retaining the classic sound of the original with updated drivers, crossovers and reworked cabinets, these are beautiful speakers and an enticing alternative to more modern options.
Linton Legacy
Linton embodies the brand’s pioneering research through the 60s, 70s and 80s. With a heritage dating back to 1965, Linton was manufactured in accordance with the principles of quality and value for money.
Craftsmanship
The new version of Wharfedale Linton reinforces these principles balancing high craftsmanship, lifelike sound quality and affordability within an elegantly shaped speaker whose various incarnations have sold in millions across the globe.
Large Driver
Linton exploits its wide baffle by employing a bass driver with a 200mm Kevlar cone that is larger than most modern drivers mounted on a sturdy die-cast chassis. A 135mm midrange driver sits above this and supports a woven kevlar cone housed within its own internal enclosure. To finish, a 25mm fabric-dome tweeter is employed featuring high-flux ferrite magnet to handle high frequencies.
Original Sound
The new Linton preserves the rich, warm and realistic sound that the original Linton was renowned for while infusing it with space and detail that entices you to explore your entire music collection again.
Please Note
Linton stands are supplied as an optional extra or can be purchased separately here.

I Purchased these loudspeakers a few months back, they arrived quickly , I took a chance on a down grade price ways from my Kef R900's which were great but problematic with my room. It's Turned out not to be a down grade at all , they are excellent loudspeakers and sound beautiful matched with my Icon stereo mk4 amplifier in triode mode. I listen to various genre's and I can honestly say I now have the most musically satisfying and fuss free system I've ever owned. previous systems excluding source's were Klipsch Heresy 11's with musical fidelity A100-- Yamaha Ns1000m with quad 606 audiolab 8000q, Quad ESL 989's with Elite qsp & elite pre-- Kef R300's--- Tannoy Xt8f with Yamaha As2100---Kef R900's with Yamaha As2100.
Thanks IAG and thanks Audio affair. -

Had these for 3 weeks now and I am delighted with them. It's a brilliant value, superbly designed and made product. They have a pleasant, warm bodied, full sound. No listening fatigue at all and I listen constantly for approximately 12 hours a day. They go VERY loud, considerably louder than what they have replaced, the Quad S2. They have a very natural full sound, nice bass, instruments sound incredibly realistic to my ears. Not harsh or shrill in the slightest. I have mine paired with a Yamaha AS-2100 amp and Yamaha cds1000 cd player. Taken about 200 hours to open up and now sounding very sweet. Definite keepers. These are amazing value.
