Product Description
Thorens’ MM-008 ADC Phono stage for your vinyl player now also includes an integrated ADC (Analogue to Digital Converter) for vinyl recording purposes. It’s compatible with both MM and MC cartridges and is presented in a compact silver box.
MM008 ADC
The Thorens’ MM 008 ADC amplifies the minutest details captured by the cartridge in your turntable to make sure everything that was recorded can be heard. Applying to your turntable’s every need the MM-008 ADC has an RCA input for moving magnet cartridges (MM) and another for moving coil cartridges (MC). The two circuits are completely separate and can be selected via a switch on the back panel. This is an attractive feature if you own two vinyl turntables or two tonearms.
Integrated ADC
Thorens has now installed a built-in ADC into the MM008ADC to allow you to record all your vinyl records on to your computer. Finally, you have the option to buy vinyl and have a digital collection of them too! But unlike the turntables that have USB functions that allow for this already, the purposely-built ADC in the MM-008 records vinyl at incredible high quality, as close to the quality of the record itself.
To take full advantage of the high-resolution recording facilities offered by the MM 008 ADC, a recording software that can record at 24 bits/96 kHz is recommended to save lossless high-resolution audio files such as FLAC or Apple Lossless. The MM 008-ADC supports both Apple MAC and Windows and connects via USB 2.0.
Great Build Quality
The MM-008 ADC is housed in a high-quality metal casing with a brushed aluminium front panel. It also comes with an outboard power supply, which allows you to keep the power supply unit well away from the ADC where it cannot adversely pollute the circuits with the noise that it emits.
