How to remove transformer hum?
Many amps, especially those with toroidal transformers, have an annoying mechanical transformer hum caused by a small amount of DC voltage in the mains that makes its way through to the mains transformer. iFi Audio’s DC Blocker is designed to eliminates transformer hum from amplifiers by stopping the DC from getting into the audio mains.
For your HiFi Components
The bigger the amplifier, usually, the larger the toroidal which is susceptible to residual DC voltage. Just add the DC Blocker at the IEC to stop DC from getting in. The small size and universal application ensures it won’t block any other connectors, sockets or cables.

Used on an old Naim PSU with an annoying hum that was audible at times. Using this IFI blocker drastically reduced the hum. I can't hear the hum at all from seated position. The sound quality itself is not changed. Well worth using this item if you are annoyed by hum from a unit.
