Product Description
KEF Blade One Meta speakers are the flagship floorstanding loudspeakers in KEF's Blade range, sitting above the more compact Blade Meta Two. Newly updated with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) these are the finest iteration of Blade One yet. When only the very best will do.
Improved Sound
Historically the Blade series has always represented the pinnacle in sound engineering whilst retaining a concept style ideal, meaning that this is where KEF are going and their designers are let off the leash to bring an ultimate in speaker design and function. The Blade One Meta doesn’t just take that idea on board, it runs off into the sunset with it – thanks to an all-new Uni-Q driver array, Metamaterial (more on that later), unbelievable frequency response and we could wax lyrical for days on this unit but it is truly a Concorde moment in the KEF timeline.
A new sound is achieved with an all-new line up of drivers in a 12th Generation Uni-Q array which delivers a HF driver that is 25mm (1”), made out of aluminium with MAT built into the tweeter to give the highest of highs a rich warm feeling that is pleasing on the ear. The mid-range is upgraded to with a 125mm (5”) aluminium coned unit that makes those marginal gains which give the mid-range a smooth as silk texture. Finally, the bass hasn’t been left untouched by KEF’s R&D team either with a 4 225mm (9”) force cancelling aluminium cone drivers that punch the bass exactly how you would need it without being over kill.
All Meta
On the 2022 line up, KEF bring to the Blade (and Reference) range the next generation in distortion cancelling technology in Metamaterial. The Metamaterial absorbs 99% of distortion created from the back of the driver to such an extent you wouldn’t even know there was any distortion. This is achieved thanks to the intricate maze like design imprinted into the back of the unit ensuring that the sound you hear is what is intended and nothing else.
Excellent Frequency Response
On the Blade One Meta, KEF has again ensured that no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of perfection with the units giving the following response across the spectrum; 27Hz – 45kHz (Free Field) & 35Hz – 35kHz overall (+/-3dB). This spectrum coverage enables every single piece of audio to be precisely outputted without a single loss of quality.
Stunning Design
As a concept speaker system the Blade One Meta takes styling ques from the previous generation but improves on them with sleek, sophisticated lines that will enable the Blade to not only look smart (in a variety of finishes) but fit your décor like a bespoke suit from Saville Row.
