Matrix Audio Mini I 3 Streamer + Headphone Amplifier is designed to act as your transportation hub for all your audio signals and provide you with all you need to play music from whatever source you intend. The mini I 3 is equipped with support for Roon Ready, Apple Airplay and Bluetooth, and delivers more power for your headphones.
Mini I 3 Build
The 4th Gen Mini I 3 continues with the classic design and excellent build quality that is known with Matrix Audio. The Mini-I 3 is housed in a compact, two-colour aluminium unit that comes in finishes of silent black and space grey, which also features a 3.3-inch LCD screen with an improved user interface.
Streaming with Apple Airplay and Roon
Matrix Audio’s Mini I 3 Streamer and Headphone DAC features streaming functionality so you can enjoy all your favourite music services. It is also equipped with Roon Ready, so you can playback bit-perfect music over a LAN, and also has the ability to play music to from your iPhone, iPad, or any MAC computer with the use of Apple AirPlay.
Headphone Amp
Matrix Audio’s Mini-i 3 has a fully balanced headphone amp, which allows the left and right channel signals to pass through a near perfect symmetrical amp circuit, to provide headphone output power with low distortion and low noise.
More Power
Compared to the previous generations the output power of single-ended headphone connection is increased by 50%, and the balanced headphone output is increased by 3 times. With the addition of a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack, the Mini I 3 makes it easier for you to connect balanced headphones.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The Mini-i 3 allows you to connect to any Bluetooth enabled device, with Bluetooth 5 connectivity - it supports up to 24Bit/96kHz high-res audio and AptX HD technology allows compatible devices to transmit 24Bit/48kHz high-res audio.
WIFI Connection
If you would like a Wi-Fi connection, as well as an Ethernet, the mini-I 3 Pro has Wi-Fi included to enable you to have high-speed and stable network access. (Mini-i 3 does not support Wi-Fi connection)
IIS LVDS
The Mini-i 3 has various digital input ports. But the most notable addition to this Gen model is the IIS LVDS input, which allows the Mini-i 3 to get a performance improvement through an external audio interface. It’s USB Type-C connector improves the connection reliability and transmission efficiency of digital audio signal.
MQA Decoding
The Mini-i Pro 3 is a MQA full decoder, which means it uses MQA technology to decode the sound of the original master recording and makes it available to stream. (Mini-i 3 does not support MQA decoding)
Multiple Inputs & Outputs
Matrix Audio’s Mini-i 3 has multiple input and output ports, which allows it to act as a transportation hub in your audio system. Whether it be a digital audio signal from a TV, set-top box, game console, HTPC, or analog audio from equipment such as a vinyl turntable, it can be connected to a digital audio system with the help of Mini-i 3.
User Interface
The Mini I 3’s elegant User Interface, which is displayed on a 24-bit colour LCD display, has been developed to be very is intuitive so that you can view the input channels, streaming methods, device configurations and other additional information at ease.
